Prerequisites

1.  You need to install the IMAP Email Crawler by following IMAP Crawler Installation and Administration.

Creating Crawler

Navigate to Crawlers tab in the Cogniware Data Collector administration (accessible at https://192.168.112.212/datacollector).

Click on Add Crawler button.

Fill in Name of the Crawler and define the Description for you, if necessary.

For the Crawler configuration, you need to provide the following parameters:

• Connector Class – Choose the created Connector Class for Emails you have installed in IMAP Crawler Installation and Administration.
• Connectors – Select the Connector you want to use. To configure the Connector please follow IMAP Crawler Installation and Administration.
  
• Object Types – Choose object types that should be crawled:
  
  • mails - if checked, email body is crawled
  • mails.users 
  • mails.users.reciepients
  • mails.attachments - if checked email attachments are crawled
• login - user name of the imap account to be crawled (usually email address)
  
• password - password for the user
  
• Data Handler - Select the Data Handler you created in IMAP Crawler Installation and Administration

Click the Add Crawler button.

Congratulations! Crawler configuration is done. We can start crawling!
