Cloud test environment

This article specificly describes, how to work with the Test environment for GDPR Explorer. Some of these features are not meant for production usage.

Accessing the test environment

You can access the environment at https://gdpr.cogniware.co.uk. To see how to Log in, please read Accessing GDPR Explorer UI you will receive the username and password from Cogniware based on the agreement to include you in the test program. If you forget your password please contact Cogniware service desk.

Inserting test data

You can test how the GDPR Explorer will work with your own data, you can check this for files on filesystem. There is a specific page to do this, you can access it from the navigation pane by clicking "Add data".



Data security

Keep in mind that the Test environment may be used by other companies. Do not put confidential or otherwise personal data in! Please treat the system as fully public! All test data (documents, emails, custom credit card records) are deleted daily at midnight.

Below you can see the supported personal information types. These are limited, as the test environment should show you how the system works and how interaction with it feels it doesn't represent a fully productional system.

Adding documents

Choose file you want to test (please use PDF, XLS, DOC or txt file) and click UPLOAD. The Document will be listed in table of uploaded files. The Crawler for this folder "Filesystem External files" is scheduled to run every ten minutes - you will need to wait before you can see the result in the GDPR Explorer. Please include some clear personal informartion in the document to make sure it will be correctly assigned to that individual (we suggest to use full name and email address).



Adding a new database record

Please choose the client and insert a valid credit card number, please be advised that invalid credit card numbers will not be marked as personal information. Same as for documents the DB Crawler is scheduled to run every ten minutes.



Test email

Please send an email to test-gdpr@cogniware.co.uk, you can also include an attachement. The email crawler is again scheduled to run every ten minutes.
