Discovery
In Discovery view, you can search for personal information in all documents imported from data sources. You can view entire document and find other annotated personal information of found subject.
Searching
You are able to perform full-text search and for specific results, use boolean search operators AND, OR, NOT or (), "" and *. For example: Petr AND (Novák OR Novak) will find results for Petr Novák or Petr Novak.
Review document
To review document, you need to unlock it by clicking on LOCK icon (if you want to unlock all searched documents, it easy to unlock them at once by clicking on first unlock icon in the column). To finish unlocking the document, you have to fill in reason fo unlocking. This comment has to be written in pop up window (it will appear after clicking on lock icon).
Once the document is unlocked, ORIGINAL ID turns blue, it's interactive now and you are able to click on it and start reviewing document. By hovering cursor on number in "Entities in record count" column(#) hover card appears with total number of entities in document. It also contains annotation count per type of found annotations in the document.
Document preview pop up and you can review it. All annotations are highlighted with different colour. By scrolling down on preview, you will find the categories to which the annotations are divided. When you click on highlighted annotation alert will pop up with annotation and its type.
Save search
For easier work with filtering document results in Discovery, you can save specific search for future use.
Create your search by choosing filters and keywords for your freetext search. Click on SAVE SEARCH button.
Create a name for your search. You can also allow sending notifications and save search as global to be visible for other users or personal. You are able to tick global checkbox only if you are an admin. Click on SAVE.
Click on magnifying glass icon in search bar and view list of created searches. After clicking on every search, its content is shown and you can use it or delete it after confirming deletion process. To use specific search, click on USE. To see results you have to click on SEARCH for confirmation.
When you log in GDPR Explorer next time, alert message is visible in dashboard view with information about possible search results of your saved search. Clicking on "Explore discovery" you are redirected to Discovery page with results from your search.
Filtering and sorting
It is possible to filter the results and choose to sort results in ascending or descending order and from lowest to highest count of entities found in documents.

MINIMAL NUMBER OF ENTITIES | Number of entities found in the document. You can put a specific number to input field above slider. This value will display immediately on the range slider. |
MIMETYPE | Media type- type of document format (.doc, .docx, .pdf, .rtf, .txt). Number next to every media type represents documents count of this type in the system. |
DATA CATEGORY | Categorization of documents by combination of content and suffixes into predefined categories. |
ANNOTATION | List of annotations which was found in imported documents. Numbers next to each annotation represents the quantity of annotation found in all documents. |
DATA SOURCE TYPE | Type of data source that needs to be accessed to find searched information in the document. Number next to every data source represents documents count from this data source in the system. |
DATASOURCE | Exact name of the data source that needs to be accesses to find searched information in the document. Number next to every name of data source represents documents count of this data source in the system. |
DATE RANGE | By setting both dates, documents from that particular period are displayed. By setting only the first date, all documents that have been added to the platform after this date will be displayed. |
